Босс первого уровня, Летти — ёкай зимы и одновременно счастлива и слегка взволнована видеть такую долгую зиму. Как ёкай, который может существовать только зимой, она кажется очевидным виновником того, что весна никак не приходит. Её атаки состоят из снега и льда.
Чэнь
Мидбосс и босс 2-го уровня; мидбосс экстра-уровня
Босс второго уровня, Чэнь выступает в роли стража Маёхиги и пытается прогнать вас, хотя вы и появились здесь только потому, что заблудились. Она некомата, и поэтому обладает кошачьими силой и ловкостью, которые использует чтобы сбить вас с толку во время битвы. Кроме того, кажется, ей нравится крутиться. А ещё она мидбосс экстра-уровня.

The midboss of Stage 1, Cirno says hello with a small flurry of icicles. Her power over cold seems rather weak today. Maybe it’s because everyone is used to the winter chill by now and is dressed for the occasion.
The boss of Stage 1, Letty is a youkai of the winter season, and is happy but slightly troubled to see winter lasting as long as it has. As a youkai that can only exist during winter, she appears to you as a possible mastermind behind the delay of spring. Her attacks consist of snowball barrages and icy winds.

The boss of Stage 2, Chen is the acting guardian of Mayohiga, and attempts to chase you away, even though you only ended up there because you got lost in the snow. As a nekomata, she has cat-like speed and agility, which she uses to misdirect you in battle. She also seems to like spinning a lot. And she’s the mid-boss of the extra stage too.
The boss of Stage 3, Alice is actually part of the magician race, whereas Marisa is a magician by occupation. She is a doll collector and although her dolls seem to be living they are in fact being managed by her with strings of magic.
The midboss of Stage 4, Lily announces the coming of spring and attacks with a barrage of directed and unconcentrated bullets.

The boss of Stage 5, Youmu is the half-human, half-ghost gardener of Hakugyokurou. She is the one tasked with gathering enough spring so that her master, Yuyuko Saigyouji, can unseal the body underneath the Saigyou Ayakashi. She is also the fencing teacher of Yuyuko. Her attack style is focused on using her swords to assault from all directions.
The boss of the Final Stage, Yuyuko is the Master of Hakugyokurou. She is the true mastermind behind the ongoing winter and seeks to take the spring that the player has gathered. With the ability to invoke death in living beings, she’s a formidable opponent.

Perfect Cherry Blossom (東方妖々夢, Tōhō Yōyōmu, переводится как Чарующая Мечта) — седьмая официальная игра из серии Тохо. Является второй игрой, вышедшей под Windows.
Действие игры происходит опять в Генсокё. Уже наступил май, но зима все еще не заканчивается. Играя за Рейму Хакурей (мико), Марису Кирисаме (волшебницу) или Сакую Изаёи (главгорничную в Особняке Алой Дьяволицы) игроку предлагается пробиться через 6 сложных уровней и 2 закрытых экстрауровня в глубинах Мира Мёртвых и узнать правду о похищении весны.

Perfect Cherry Blossom дает трех разных играбельных персонажей на выбор, с двумя различными Спелл-картами на каждого. Рейму Хакурей может покрыть пулями широкую область экрана, несмотря на то, что пули наносят мало урона. Мариса Кирисаме полагается на свою скорость и силу, восполняя свой низкий радиус поражения мощными атаками. Сакуя Изаёи атакует еще шире, чем Рейму, но может быть довольно сложной для маневрирования.
Другие важные изменения в Perfect Cherry Blossom — при сфокусированном движении стал виден хитбокс, атаки различаются в обычном и сфокусированном движении, а так же появился вспомогательный курсор внизу экрана, который показывает, где находится босс.
Сюжет [ ]
В Генсокё люди расслабляются и греются в тишине не заканчивающейся зимы. Нет никаких признаков весны, хотя уже наступил Май, а метели становятся все сильней. Рейму Хакурей, мико Хакурейского храма, устала мерзнуть день ото дня и хочет найти причину такой странной погоды. Мариса Кирисаме, одетая в черное волшебница, замечает летящие лепестки сакуры и удивляется, что где-то весна уже пришла. Сакуя Изаёи, главная горничная в Особняке Алой Дьяволицы, знает, что их зимние запасы быстро кончаются, и собирается закончить эту затянувшуюся зиму пока припасы не закончились совсем. В зависимости от выбора игрока, только одна из них отправится в путь.
В поисках разгадки героиня отправляется в заснеженный лес. Там она сражается с феей льда Чирно и зимним ёкаем Летти Вайтрок. В деревне Маёхига она сражается с некоматой Чен, и все без всякого прогресса в ее поисках. Наконец, после победы над Алисой Маргатроид с ее куклами, героиня замечает падающие с неба лепестки сакуры. Следуя за летящими высоко над Генсокё лепестками, героиня сражается с возвещающей о приходе весне Лили Вайт и находит огромный магический портал с охраняющими его Сестрами Призмривер. Победив их героиня пересекает границу с Миром Мёртвых.
После сражения с несколькими приведениями, героиня сталкивается с получеловеком-полупризраком Ёму Конпаку. Ёму обьясняет, что она забрала весну из Генсокё чтобы помочь Сайгё Аякаши, сакуре-ёкаю, полностью расцвести в садах Хакугёкуро по приказу своей хозяйки. Героиня побеждает Ёму и торопится в Хакугёкуро чтобы вернуть весну назад в Генсокё. И в конце долгого путешествия героиня сталкивается лицом к лицу с Ююко Сайгёдзи, призраком принцессой Хакугёкуро. Ююко говорит, что она хотела вернуть одну душу, которая была запечатана в Сайгё Аякаши до ее существования. Чтобы сломать печать, ёкаю-сакуре нужно полностью расцвести. После возвращения ночью и еще одной схваткой с ослабевшей Ран, Юкари встречается с героиней. Юкари довольно удивлена способностям героини и решает продолжить без Ран. После ожесточенной схватки, Юкари побеждена и быстро использует свои способности, чтобы выполнить просьбу героини.

Perfect Cherry Blossom (東方妖々夢 ～ Perfect Cherry Blossom) is a challenging vertical-scrolling shooter, and is the seventh official game in the Touhou series.
The game takes place in the mystic oriental land of Gensokyo, as usual. In the game’s scenario, May has already begun, yet the winter storms show no signs of stopping just yet. Playing as either Reimu Hakurei (a shrine maiden), Marisa Kirisame (a playful magician) or Sakuya Izayoi (the head maid from Embodiment of Scarlet Devil), you must battle your way through 6 difficult stages and 2 unlockable extra stages into the depths of the Netherworld to uncover the truth behind the stolen spring.

Gameplay
Perfect Cherry Blossom features three different playable characters to choose from, with two different Spell Card types each. Reimu Hakurei can weave through the smallest gaps with ease, and her attacks deal low to decent damage, depending on which type you use. Marisa Kirisame relies on her speed and power to compensate for her thin attack area, but the amount of power she wields is very considerable. Sakuya Izayoi has even wider and more versatile attacks than Reimu, but can be quite tricky to use and maneuver.
The largest change Perfect Cherry Blossom introduces over its predecessor Embodiment of Scarlet Devil is the addition of the «Cherry» scoring system. Almost every part of the game is linked with the «Cherry Meter»: shooting enemies increases your Cherry points, bombing or dying decreases your Cherry points, reaching 50,000 Cherry+ points gives you a temporary shield. The higher the Cherry Gauge becomes, the more points you gain from Point Items.
Other important gameplay changes introduced in Perfect Cherry Blossom are the appearance of your character’s hitbox while you are focused, a change in the properties of your attacks depending on whether you are normal or focused, and a helpful cursor on the bottom margin during a boss battle which tells you where the boss is currently located.
Story
In Gensokyo, people relax and bask in the calm of a winter without end. Spring has shown no sign of arriving even though it’s already May, and in fact the snowstorms are continually getting worse. Reimu Hakurei, a shrine maiden of the Hakurei Shrine, is tired of being cold day in and day out and wants to find the source of this unnatural weather. Marisa Kirisame, a black-clothed magician, sees a cherry blossom petal float down outside her warm house and wonders if spring is happening somewhere else. Sakuya Izayoi, the chief maid of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, knows that their winter supplies are diminishing quickly, and wants to end this prolonged winter before they run out completely. Depending on who you choose, only one of these three heroines actually goes out and investigates.
The heroine starts off her journey by heading off into the snow-covered forests in search of clues. She battles the ice fairy Cirno and the winter spirit Letty Whiterock in the forest, and the nekomata Chen in the village of Mayohiga, without any progress in her search. Finally, after defeating Alice Margatroid and her dolls, the heroine finds a lead when she notices several cherry blossoms blowing around in the sky. The heroine follows the trail of cherry blossoms high above Gensokyo, breaking through the greetings of Lily White, eventually reaching a great magical boundary and the poltergeist musicians Prismriver Sisters (Lunasa, Merlin, and Lyrica). After silencing the Prismriver Sisters, the heroine crosses the boundary into the Netherworld.
After fighting off several ghosts, the heroine is confronted by human-ghost gardener Youmu Konpaku. Youmu explains that she had been stealing the essence of «spring» throughout Gensokyo in order to make the Saigyou Ayakashi, a youkai cherry tree, bloom perfectly with the rest of Hakugyokurou’s gardens, as per her master’s orders. The heroine defeats Youmu and hurries to Hakugyokurou to get Gensokyo’s spring back. Now at the end of a long journey, the heroine comes face to face with Yuyuko Saigyouji, the ghost princess of Hakugyokurou. Yuyuko reveals that she wanted to revive a certain soul that has been sealed within the Saigyou Ayakashi from before her existence. In order to break the seal, the youkai cherry blossom tree needed to bloom fully and completely. Yuyuko and the heroine wage a fierce battle, to get the last «spring» contained in the heroine needed for the Perfect Cherry Blossom, and to reclaim Gensokyo’s spring, respectively. After the heroine defeats Yuyuko, the Saigyou Ayakashi starts to lose its health. However the seal has been weakened from the near-complete bloom, and the sealed soul is temporarily unleashed. The soul is actually Yuyuko’s. The heroine dodges attack after attack until Yuyuko’s soul is finally sealed once more.
A few days later, Yuyuko asks the heroine for a favor. The magic boundary between Gensokyo and the Netherworld was weakened by Yukari Yakumo, one of Yuyuko’s friends, to make stealing Gensokyo’s spring easier. Yuyuko asks the heroine to find her friend, who would be preparing for the flower-viewing event during this time, and remind her to repair the boundary. As the heroine flies closer to her destination, Chen leaps out in front of the heroine, seemingly revitalized and much more powerful. The heroine manages to defeat Chen again, but this only serves to draw out an angry Ran Yakumo. It turns out that Chen was the shikigami of Ran, and Ran is intent on making the heroine pay. Ran reveals that she is also a shikigami, and that she will not let any troublemakers disturb her master. The heroine figures that defeating Ran will get the attention of Yuyuko’s friend, and after a fierce battle, Ran is defeated. Surprisingly, Ran’s master, Yukari, doesn’t appear, and Ran tells the heroine that she should try coming back at night, since her master sleeps less often during the night. After returning that night and defeating a weakened Ran again, Yukari emerges to greet the heroine. Yukari is quite surprised at the heroine’s ability and decides to continue where Ran left off. After a vicious fight, Yukari is defeated, and quickly uses her abilities to do the heroine’s request.

Youkai of Winter Letty Whiterock
A Yuki-onna and stage 1 boss. She is only ever seen during the winter, and goes into hibernation as spring arrives. While she attacks the heroines for attempting to end the long winter, she’s only half-serious as she has already accepted that spring must eventually come.
The Black Cat of Evil Omens Chen
A nekomata youkai and shikigami to Ran Yakumo. As her own master is also a shikigami, this means that she too is a servant to Yukari Yakumo.
Fairy Herald of Spring Lily White
Stage 4 Mid-Boss, a fairy who heralds the coming of spring. For some reason, the only way she knows how to do so is with a shower of danmaku. Despite a few appearances and descriptions throughout canon, she generally shows up as a one-note character with no dialogue, though her enthusiasm is hard to miss.
Layla Prismriver
Layla Prismriver is one of the daughters of Count Prismriver who could not bring herself to leave their home after he tragically died in an accident, and his orphaned daughters each went their separate ways. Instead, she invoked powerful sorceries in order to create three poltergeists with the appearance and personalities of her three older sisters. Layla and her sisters have long since passed away before the events of Perfect Cherry Blossom.
While Layla has no official appearance, what little fanart of her exists almost universally depicts her with long green hair to complement her sisters’ colors.
The Prismriver sisters are a trio of poltergeist sisters who serve as the stage 4 bosses. The sisters are talented musicians whose performances are popular among youkai. According to their backstory, the three poltergeist Prismriver sisters are the creations of Layla Prismriver, who based them on her three older sisters. While the original four Prismriver sisters have long since passed away, the three poltergeists have remained in their ancestral home to this day, continuing to hone their musical skills.
The Poltergeist Violinist Lunasa Prismriver
The eldest of the Prismriver trio, who specializes in stringed instruments. Lunasa is an honest, hard-working, honor student type who is nevertheless pessimistic in general.
The Poltergeist Trumpeter Merlin Prismriver
The middle sister of the Prismriver trio, who specializes in wind instruments. Merlin is energetic and easily excitable. She possesses greater raw power than her sisters, but lacks precision and control.
The Poltergeist Keyboardist Lyrica Prismriver
The youngest of the Prismriver trio, who specializes in percussion and keyboard instruments. Lyrica is very intelligent, but dislikes exerting effort, so she usually tries to trick her sisters into fighting for her.
The Half-Ghost Gardener Youmu Konpaku
Swordswoman and gardener of Hakugyokurou, the Netherworld court. She’s half-human and half-phantom, half-dead and half-alive, half-illusion and half-reality, and altogether half-baked. She is Yuyuko’s faithful servant, but her seriousness and naivete contrasts with her mistress’s whimsical and carefree nature. She is the one who has been stealing the essence of spring from Gensokyo in Perfect Cherry Blossom, under orders from Yuyuko.
Youki Konpaku
Youmu Konpaku’s father (or possibly grandfather) and mentor, who served as Hakugyokurou’s gardener before her. He disappeared sometime before the events of Perfect Cherry Blossom, which Youmu took to be just another one of his lessons. Strictly appears only in Youmu’s character description for Perfect Cherry Blossom.
Ghostly Girl in the Netherworld Tower Yuyuko Saigyouji
Ghost Princess of Hakugyokurou, also an old friend of Yukari. When she was still alive she had the power to control the spirits of the dead. Eventually this grew into the power to kill others with a thought, terrifying Yuyuko to the point of suicide, after which her body was used to seal an evil cherry tree. Over time, she forgot about her life and hatched a plan to resurrect the body sealing the tree. When she realized that it was her own body that sealed the tree, she changed her mind and lived her life as a ghost, perhaps for the better, because the resurrection of her body would destroy her and unleash the evil tree.
Saigyou Ayakashi
An evil cherry tree sealed by Yuyuko and Yukari centuries ago. Up until Ten Desires it was the only truly evil character in the Touhou universe. It has the power to lure people to rest underneath its branches after which it drains their souls.
Shikigami of the Youkai of Boundaries Ran Yakumo
A kitsune, Yukari’s beleaguered but loyal shikigami, looking after the house and her duties while her mistress sleeps. A grand youkai in her own right, she is wise and strong, old enough to possess a full set of nine tails and is powerful enough to have her own shikigami, Chen.
