Narumi is a cute and petite fair-skinned young woman with bra-strap or mid-back length salmon-pink hair that has a small red bow tied in the back with bangs hanging over her eyebrows and light caramel-brown eyes.
Narumi wears a pink blazer with a light pink blouse underneath it, a red gem necklace, brown stockings, a pencil skirt and brown heels.
Narumi either leaves her hair down or puts it in a fishtail braid, side ponytail or two small braids.
Her casual clothes is a white t-shirt with small marks on the left and black shorts with white stripes on the side.
Whenever Narumi goes out, she would either put her hair in a braid or style it wavy etc.

Personality
Narumi is an image conscious person who keeps up appearances at work by hiding the fact that she is an otaku from everyone, including her family. The only people who know this side of her are Hirotaka Nifuji, Hanako Koyanagi, and Tarou Kabakura, after Hirotaka outed her by asking if she was going to participate in the next Summer Comiket.
Narumi is described (by Hirotaka) as someone who is always observing other people, being considerate, and making sure they have fun.
She also loves romantic dramas and believes that finding a boyfriend who she can share a deep connection with is important. She tends to act before thinking.
Background
Narumi is currently dating Hirotaka Nifuji (Narumi’s childhood friend). She likes manga games, comics, cosplay, BL and otome who also has a great tolerance for alcohol and she does not smoke, but she likes men. However, she is very impatient at times.

Narumi is seen to be open to Hirotaka and she seems to be amazed by his gaming skills. They often hangout in a bar after work and Narumi sometimes visits at Hirotaka’s to play games. Hirotaka was the one who asked Narumi to be his girlfriend and promised to help her grind for materials or levels whenever she wanted in an unknown game they were playing. He also promised to wait for her whenever she worked overtime, never dash her hopes and make her cry, never tell her that she’s in the wrong, and lastly, he’d table for her at an event (two weeks after Episode 1), which instantly made Narumi agreed with him (as seen in Episode 1).
They have known each other ever since they were children and they became friends after Narumi asked Hirotaka to trade powerful characters for cuter ones (as explained by Hirotaka).
Hanako Koyanagi
Narumi and Hanako have a friendly relationship. They find out by pure chance that they had previously crossed paths outside of work: Narumi recognizing that Hanako crossplayed as Date Masamune at a Sengoku Basara festival she attended and bought some of her doujinshi and Hanako realizing that Narumi is one of her favorite doujinshi artist, referring to her by her pen name, «Miss ***» (much to her embarrassment). This leads to them bonding over their hobbies, as they have never had female friends who shared the same interest as them.
Narumi recommends her favorite Boys Love (BL) manga to her while Hanako proposes that they cosplay together, declaring that they are «soulmates». They also debate which of their boyfriends should be the seme (dominating top) and the uke (receiving bottom) in their yaoi pairing fantasy.

Kō is a young woman with short brown hair that has long bangs hanging over her face, dark green eyes, thick black eyebrows, full-framed glasses and a beauty mark under her left eye.
Her clothes is usually a cream-colored sweater with a light blue blouse underneath, and gray slacks with sneakers. She is frequently seen with white headphones around her neck.
Due to her clothing preferences and her height, she is often mistaken for a boy.
Personality
Kō prefers being alone and she’s always apologizing to people for no particular reason. She does not usually socialize, which is why she is often anxious when talking to other people, and cannot look directly into their eyes. Despite this, Kō still hopes to make friends.
She is not fond of talking, hence she does not have any friends or any form of social media. Later in the series, she meets Naoya Nifuji in the coffee shop he works for and becomes gaming friends with him, in which she helps him level up his character.
She is very fond of video games as shown both in the manga and in the anime. She also recognized the video game character Narumi Momose mentioned as she was going to meet up with Naoya. When Kō plays, she becomes oblivious to her surroundings and forgets how long she’s playing as long as she is distracted by it.
Later in the manga, she is revealed to be an otaku who is into the shojō genre, similar to Kabakura.
History
Kō often played video games with her father during her childhood, and her father supports her hobby to game.
Relationships
Naoya Nifuji
Their first interaction with each other was in a coffee shop where Naoya worked as a barista and she is very anxious when talking to him. But after becoming friends with him both in general and in-game, she looks forward to meeting him now and is willing to help him out in leveling up.
In the manga and second OVA, they spend time with each other at the movies and arcade, and at the end Kou tells Naoya that she likes him and wants to be his friend forever although Naoya seemingly believed it was a confession and is shown to be slightly disappointed when he finds out she meant friends only.
In the manga, she started catching feelings for Naoya. She enrolled in a part-time job, often using it as an excuse to not hang out with him because she felt immensely nervous around him. She started doubting her self worth after seeing Naoya being a social butterfly, often wondering why he would even like a gloomy girl like her.
One day, when she was crying, Naoya found her and consoled her. He gathered up the courage to ask her out, and she felt her self doubt wash away. She agreed to go out with him, and the two are currently a couple.
Hirotaka and Kō are both gamer otakus, so they seem to get along well with their shared interests. Hirotaka often looks out for her, even thanking her for making Naoya into the person he currently was, although Kō misunderstood what he meant. Kō’s first impression of Hirotaka was that he was scary, but now she thinks he is a kind person.
Kō thinks Narumi is such a bright person she could blind her eyes someday. Narumi likes hanging out with Kō, seldom teasing her about her getting along with Naoya. Narumi is glad a person like Kō exists in Naoya’s life.
Hanako thinks Kō has the ideal look for a cosplayer and gets Kō to try out different outfits during a mall trip. Kō is terrified of Hanako.
In Chapter 74, when Kō was about to pick up the last volume of Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun (a shojō manga) available, her hand clashes with Kabakura’s. Kabakura thinks Kō is a boy, happy that another male otaku who likes shojō manga exists. He tries to give the volume to Kō, but she gets so scared of his intimidating look that she runs away. Kō is terrified of Kabakura’s seemingly deadly stare, but Kabakura seems to take a liking to Kō purely because he thinks they’re the same type of otaku.

Hanako is an attractive fair-skinned young woman with shoulder-length dark green hair that is usually tied up in a small ponytail by a lime tie where long parts of her hair are seen hanging with bangs swept to the left, thin purple eyes, thin eyebrows and a feminine figure such as wide hips and large breasts.
At work, she wears a gray blazer with a mint green blouse underneath, a flower necklace, black stockings, a pencil skirt and black heels. She is always seen wearing a pair of oval-shaped glasses and her nails are appear to be painted light green.
At home, Hanako either leaves her hair down or ties it up in a bun. Her casual clothes is a purple t-shirt with white strips and gray sweatpants. Whenever she goes out, she either leaves her hair in a ponytail or ties it in a bun.
In high school, she had shorter hair that resembles a boy (most likely due to the fact she played volleyball).
Personality
Hanako is often portrayed as professional, strict and hardworking woman who is often admired by her male co-workers. According to her boyfriend, she is short-tempered, panicky and very drawn to perverted jokes. She is also easily influenced by others, according to him as well. She is also considered as a really cool woman by Narumi Momose.
Hanako can get jealous over Tarō Kabakura’s waifus at times and usually gets angry when he mentions about his fatherly love for Narumi. Hanako is also aware of the fact that she is different from his type and has grown accustomed to it. She often worries about their constant fighting and that he will grow tired of her.
She is also very passionate about cosplaying and usually found buying magazines related to it. Her cosplays are usually of bishounen characters and thus, according to her boyfriend and Hirotaka Nifuji, she would make a great man.
It might be possible that she was only influenced by Kabakura into watching anime due to her not being an otaku way back in high school.
History
Hanako’s relationship with Tarō Kabakura started at their high school graduation yet they both claim that the other confessed first which lead them to fight.
Kabakura and Hanako were both captains at their volleyball teams back in high school and they were constantly fighting over which team gets to use the court (it is usually used by the boys’ volley ball team due to the fact that they would usually be the ones winning). Hanako was the one appointed to be the captain though she was only a second-year due to their lack of members so she would always be the one trying to keep the team afloat by practicing hard.
In order to be the one using the court, she threatened Kabakura into spreading a picture of him reading manga to his friends which she has a backup copy of in her computer. Kabakura then lends the court to the girls’ volley ball team.
As she was practicing her serves one night, Kabakura notices of this and teaches her how to perform a jump serve properly, after so, she was amazed and asked him to do another one.

Tarō Kabakura
Hanako is in a relationship with Tarou as they have been together since high school. Yet, neither one of them can recall who confessed to who. They argue and Hanako sometimes feels like Kabakura might be just settling for her, but they both care for each other a lot.
Hanako likes playing with Kabakura as she once made him cosplay as a woman. She also likes playing with her co-worker/friend Narumi trying to take pictures of Hirotaka and Kabakura posing like in a BL manga.
Narumi Momose
Narumi is Hanako‘s friend who met each other at work. But soon after, they realized that they knew one another (due to Hanako being a popular cosplayer and Narumi‘s romance BL manga). Narumi enjoys being with Hanako because, she satiates to have never had a female otaku friend before. They always seem to be debating over which one is top in their ships.
Hirotaka Nifuji
Hanako and Hirotaka are shown to have a friendly relationship and frequently go for drinks together (with Narumi and Tarou). They become closer after Hanako gives Hirotaka advice on a horror ride. After Hirotaka thanks her for it and they part ways, Hanako says, «He’s (Hirotaka) started to act more like a human these days. He’s gotten cuter. «

Что там? Ты выглядишь, как обезьяна, которую переехала машина. Даже если я не одной не видел.
Я боюсь назвать на себя гнев вселенной фанаток Кентаро, но вот не его роль, абсолютно. В «Апрельской лжи» он еще был подростокм и вполне огранично вжился в образ фрика-музыканта. Главгерой в манге мне показался таким беззащитным и рогательным. А у актера уже и с возрастом, понятное дело, вгляд несколько высокомерный.
Опять Японцам не даются эти полнометражки по манге, хоть плач. Неужели так жаль вложиться в 10 серий? Видимо, не окупаются.

Чем же занимается Ханна? Она все-таки использует свой талант и поет. Но на сцене не выступает.
