No Good Racing, TOPGUN, Wharp

A: NO!, this man is based in Europe and has zero ties with Kanjo culture and/or it’s teams. He purely has followers on his account because of the repost material he uses. His products are fake and we do not wish to be associated with this name. We have received multiple stories of fake, cheap, and incorrect goods he has sent to people. Do not support people that have nothing to do with our team here in Japan.
Q: I’ve seen NGR items on EBAY, are they real?
A: No, as described above, we have a sole distributor located here in Osaka whom ships all our goods. If you are seeing items not listed on their website, they are FAKE goods.
Q: If I buy a fake item, I’m still supporting your team right?
A: No, while we appreciate the attempt at supporting us, only buying our official items lets us know you truly support the movement and what we stand for, as opposed to wanting to just up your social media likes. Keeping our cars running, hosting events, being able to afford (the very expensive) stands at shows like Auto Messe, affording new tires, making repairs, paying speeding tickets (lol), and also being able to do research and product development to bring you more goods are the small things your much appreciated orders go towards..
Q: Do NG have any team members outside of Japan, or how can I become one?
Q: Why do you not show videos of what you do.
Q: When I come to Osaka, can I meet you.
A: Our exclusive distributor does tours of the local Osaka region and just by coincidence it may coincide with a time we will be out in public, but there is risk involved each time we go out, so their meetings cannot be guaranteed.

Perhaps the most polarizing “car club” in the last few years in the wide-spectrum of the Honda tuning community are the guys from NO GOOD RACING. I’m not going to sit here and talk about Kanjozoku culture because we’d be here for hours. There would be this huge debate on their history and culture, why they do what they do and why many think it is wrong, etc., etc. I don’t have time anymore to argue with people so you’re either going to enjoy what they do, or you’ll absolutely despise them. That’s just how it is. They are polarizing figures in our car culture because they are very controversial. What started in 1985 has evolved through the years but they are still very much a part of Osaka’s underground car culture. They are probably one of the cogs that helped to create what we now know as Osaka car culture today and what we understand as the foundation of the Japanese Honda scene that we came to nickname “JDM”. While many have moved on and have left NO GOOD RACING, many are still around and keeping their infamously popular tradition alive. A select few still roam the streets and run on the Osaka Loop Line but others have changed the focus over to sanctioned circuit events on an enclosed circuit. Some of the cars pull double-duty but for the most part, the track is where you’ll find most of these Hondas from NGR these days. Kanjozoku culture quietly went away about a decade ago but has recently made a resurgence in Osaka. It will never return to the old ways where hundreds of cars will roam the streets but I’m sure many of you have noticed that you’re seeing more of the NO GOOD RACING namesake in 2015…
Last month, NO GOOD RACING celebrated its 30th anniversary. 30 YEARS. Try to put that into perspective, it’s pretty crazy. Some of the stories that these guys must have and all the things that have seen over the years is probably mind-numbing. Maybe some day someone will be able to tell their story but since much of what they do is in what you’d consider life’s “gray areas” (car-related or not), it would take a lot of trust for someone to get an inside ear on their rich history. To celebrate their big 30, NO GOOD RACING decided to host an event at Suzuka Twin Circuit and hosted many other Kanjozoku car clubs from Osaka. Everyone got together with their cars for a track day and judging from the photos, it looked like an absolute blast. I wasn’t able to make it out to Japan for this event but I was fortunate enough to get these captures from my boy Yasu Shimomukai from Phaze2 Japan. Yasu shot a ton of photos that day that I have just recently found the time to go through. October has been a crazy month but I really wanted to get these photos up for you guys to see. I know a lot of you don’t agree with what they do, but I think we can all come to an agreement that we collectively love Hondas and you’ll see plenty of them here today. Some of these are pure track cars, some are “street” cars that roam Osaka, and some do a little bit of both. Try to just see these cars for what they are and enjoy them as pure functioning machines driven by like-minded automotive enthusiasts…
Don’t like it? Well, turn your head, click the “Back” button on your browser and go on with your life.
For those that are here to see cool shit, welcome.
Thank you to Yasu for the photos and congrats to NO GOOD RACING on 30 incredibly-interesting years….
EF9 Civic SiR from Hawk Auto Project being trailered into Suzuki Twin for the NGR 30th Anniversary track event…
Though it was predominantly Hondas present that day, there were a few other automobiles that showed up in support like this Nissan Skyline on Hayashi Streets…
No fucks were given as this flyer for the event was taped over the Suzuka Twin Circuit sign…
Mizuho EG6 wearing the new NO GOOD “Shark” livery. Interesting to see that some of the newer NGR builds are running aftermarket aero like this EG with the Chargespeed wide fenders and Sergeant front bumper. Even more interesting is that I see my decal on many of these cars, haha. Pretty surreal sight….
Bosozoku motor bikes had a strong presence at the event as well as they have long been linked with the underground Osaka street culture along with the Kanjozoku…
Love the colorway on this EK from CLUB WHARP on Enkei ES Tarmac wheels…
Zero Fighter EF9 in bright orange…
As mentioned, the event featured a little bit of everything…or a lot of something all in one car…
Interesting, bizarre, and oh so old school Japan…
Happy to see that SSR Type-X wheels are alive and well in Japan. One of my favorite wheels of all-time and apparently they’re also a heavy favorite for the Japanese in 2015…
NO GOOD RACING Red Bull EF9 Civic SiR, once owned by the head of NGR but the car has since been sold. You can tell that the car has been changed here and there from the photos I captured it the last time I visited this EF in Japan earlier this year….
Mechadock EF now wearing some vinyl. You may remember this build during my initial visit to Mechadock in Osaka….
Probably my favorite EF9 ever, the Car Make Across Civic from CLUB WHARP….
WHARP RACING well represented at the NO GOOD anniversary…
Spoon Sports-themed EK9 Civic from NO GOOD RACING. Crazy to see a street car not associated with Spoon wearing its livery…
Another of the Mechadock EF with its custom headlight ram-air duct…
Drift cars were also welcomed at the track event…
Kazu from Mechadock…
Atsuki from Tactical Art checking on Taku Kusugami’s EK before it hits the track…
The “GOD HANDS” EG from TOP GUN RACING…
Itasha-style EF Civic. Not entirely sure what “Subterranean Animism” means…
Zero Fighter EF9 with bronze Volk CEs up front and Enkei RPF1 in the rear…
Tsumori Engineering EF9 looking great in bright green with black CEs up front…
Fuel cell and swirl pot in the passenger seat of the EF9….
Love how the alarm clock is incorporated into the Tsumori Engineering logo. Not sure what the significance of the “44” means. Perhaps it might mean that this car represents another old school Kanjozoku car club; MAGUNAMU…
Mugen CR-X Pro.2 from WHARP RACING…
Some good symbolism in this photo…
EK9 Civic Type R from PANDEMIC…
Civic Type R from RANDAM with an custom front splitter set-up…
Many of the Hondas present at the NGR event were actually strictly track cars, like this EK, and weren’t street cars that ran the streets…
Subtle EK Civic hatchback from TEMPLE RACING on Volk Racing GRN wheels up front….
Rare sight to see an S2000 rocking a Buddy Club front bumper….
Blue/white two-toned EK9 from TOP GUN RACING….
1RANK-UP AUTO EG representing LAW BREAK… I actually randomly came upon a YouTube video of this car in action one day. I’ll attach it below. Kinda long but you get to see some pretty cool stuff…
Anyways, back to the pics…
FIVE MART EG on 15×8 Volk TEs and running a Sergeant front bumper…
EF8 CR-X with a modded front bumper, retro-fitted front lip, Mugen sideskirts and SSR Type-X wheels rocking an old school 5Zigen livery…
Great to see Taku’s EK out and about again after sitting for an extended period of time. It still looks as good as ever and yes, he does track this car. That’s actually its primary-use since he hardly ever drives it on the street…
“Spoon” EK and Mechadock EF9…
Drivers’ meeting for those participating in the festivities…
NO GOOD signage was present everywhere throughout Suzuka Twin Circuit…
Many of you who have followed my journeys in Japan in the past may remember this EG6…
Racing Factory VARON EK4 on WED’S wheels…
Clean EK9 on white Volk TEs from LAW BREAK Family…
EG and EF from NO GOOD RACING wearing matching liveries…
NO GOOD RACING EG in blue wearing the new “Shark” livery…
Loved this magenta/neon yellow EG also with the Shark graphic…
Here’s one in yellow also with matching livery…
..and even Kazu from Mechadock’s daily-driver was rocking the NGR Shark livery…
Ryuji, head of NO GOOD RACING, and his newly-finished Civic Ferio tribute build…
A couple more of the Mechadock EF. Awesome to see my “Tradition” decal represented well…
Joe from ACROSS getting ready to step into his EF…
LOOSE RACING EF with wide SSR SP3R up front and lightweight Type-C in the rear…
The guys from NO GOOD RACING even brought out this B-series powered mini indycar to rip around on the track…
And on that note, this wraps Part 1 of 3 of the NGR 30th Anniversary coverage. I’ll get the other two parts up this week as well so stay tuned!!…
No Good Racing! Kanjo Sticker

What’s up all, back now with some more great photos from the NO GOOD RACING 30th Anniversary event. Yasutaka Shimomukai did a excellent job of capturing this event so I must thank him first and foremost for presenting us with this coverage. He usually sends them to me right away too so it is just a matter of when I finally have a chance to sit down and go through all the RAW photos. I really don’t have much to talk about today as I am about to hop on a plane to head down to Houston, Texas for the Wekfest event. By the time you guys read this I think I’ll probably already be on my way to Texas. These photos speak for themselves anyway and don’t require much narration. In Part 1, you guys got a glimpse at some of the many Civics that were at the event. Today, in part 2, you get to see the vehicles in action. Wedged in-between the photos are some candids and other photos from the paddock area of the event. If you’re into Civics, this is one of the posts that you shouldn’t miss out on because they are literally just everywhere in every photo of this series. Enjoy…
If you guys are from Texas or plan to attend the Wekfest event in Houston, I’ll see you guys real soon. For the rest of you, have a great weekend. Thanks for the support and thank you to Yasu for the great snaps…

Ratings and Reviews
Graphics are detailed but experience is not
I wont repeat what others have said about the graphics because they are amazing and the pay once price is the best bargain in the App Store. Also, I actually like the tilt controls on my 12 inch iPad Pro. It seems pretty direct and more like a real driving experience.
What I I don’t like and am very surprised is missing are a few details that would help. First there are no useable rear view or side view mirrors. How can you find out who is behind you or beside you when overtaking. There is on view that kind of give you mirrors but they are obscured and not useable. This is probably my biggest complaint. Second, is there are NO DRIVERS! It’s kind of surprising and kind of freaky to see cars go around the track with no drivers. Given the level of detail in all other aspects I can’t figure out why this detail is missing.
Either way it is the best game in the App Store but would really like to be able to see around me when driving not just ahead of me.
SPUDANKY!
Best racing game on iOS. I’m an arcade racer nut! So dipping into more of a racer sim is a new experience for me. What a great experience! I like I can play when I want, without having to slog through a pay to win progression. Because I’m free from that type of over used progression model, it’s helped me to ease into this racer genre more easily. The game looks great, but some textures are still a little jank up close. The free DLC HD texture pack has failed for the inside of your car tho! But overall it is a beautiful looking game. The controls feel solid. When I mess up, I know it’s me, thanks to unforgivingly tight controls. I successfully use both tilt, and a wireless controller, but prefer to use the wireless controller exclusively on this one. Not true for other popular arcade racers, where I can’t control the car at all using a controller. With Grid, a wireless controller is a pleasure. CON: It makes my iPhone 7 hot fairly quickly. In terms of performance, it seems to run better than some people’s experience on latest iPhone. Performance is overall pretty good considering my dated phone, but I definitely will get minor frame rate issues at times. They can definitely do with better with optimization. PRO: Driving at high speeds down the streets of San Francisco. Definitely recommend as a great racing game, but also as refreshing old school approach to selling games. Respact!
Love the pay once approach, hate the game..
I love how this is a stand-alone game where you pay once and you play to your heart’s content, just like a true console game would be.. But wow. They claim that this is supposed to be more of a “simulator” style game, but I have driven many cars, and have never had so many issues just trying to drive in a straight line! NO car on earth drives like these in the game. It honestly feels as if you’re driving a boat with how slow the game responds to your attempts at turning, but it gets even more “fun” once your car starts to turns finally and suddenly it’s as if your whole car is driving on a solid ice patch with no traction whatsoever.. The cars control horribly. The graphics are okay, I wasn’t blown away by them, but I also wasn’t upset with them. Also, I haven’t seen a single option in the game for any kind of customization to the cars, or even any option to try to buy new cars. I may be wrong on that though, because after an hour of giving this game a chance, I just couldn’t bring myself to continue playing it. But I know that I never saw any options in there for it at all.. Overall, I love the fact that they are not trying to do the stupid in app purchase garbage, but playing this game felt like more of a job, than anything I would consider to be fun. I personally would not spend the money to buy it. The game itself gets 1 star from me, but I added another just because I like and respect the pay once aspect of it.
Thanks for your purchase of GRID Autosport. We are sorry that you are not enjoying the racing as much as you’d like.
If you wish to adjust steering sensitivity, you can do so via GRID Autosport settings, which are found in the Settings app of your device. Here you can access Advanced settings for Controls and Gyro.
Difficulty can be adjusted via Options & Extras from the game’s Main Menu. You can select from a range of defaults from Rookie to Master, or select a Custom setup where you can enable assists such as Traction Control and ABS on or off.
Although the handling model is more slanted towards simulation than other racing games on the App Store, we are open to refining the control systems in the game. For example, arrow controls are currently only available on devices with Force Touch-enabled screens, but we are looking at offering them on non-Force Touch devices.
Rest assured that we are committed to ensuring the best racing experience possible with GRID Autosport, and that will include further tweaks to the game. If there is anything else you want to discuss, please contact us using the Email Support Option, which is found via Help in the Main Menu of the game. Please include «App Store Review» in the subject of your email.

When I first originally made plans to go to Osaka for the annual Wekfest Japan event, I actually made absolutely no plans, other than the show itself. I knew Yasu had been pretty busy lately with the expansion of Exceed Japan so I didn’t want him to spend so much time having to worry about taking care of me. The Japanese can be incredibly hospitable, almost too much sometimes, where they invest all their time into making sure that you are having a good time. I go to Japan so often that it just feels like another home so it wasn’t that big of a deal to create this entire itinerary filled with car adventures and sight-seeing. It just felt like a good time to kick back and relax. So much has been going on here at home lately and I knew that I’d be back just in time for the Eibach Honda Meet, so it was important that I wasn’t burned-out by the time I came home. Yasu would asked me what I wanted to do every day I was there and I honestly just told him to leave me at his office while he worked, and that’s mostly what we did. It was a 10-day long holiday week for Japan as well and typically around this time, better known as “Golden Week”, tourists from all over come to visit Japan to shop, eat, and sight see. Over the weekend, Yasu notified me that some of the guys from No Good Racing were heading to Nakayama Circuit for a private track day. He asked me if I wanted to go and well, you guys know that I’m not one to turn down some adventures with the guys from NGR so I told him that I’d be down to check it out. We just had to wake up at 5 AM and meet them at a rest stop by 6 or so to make the trek out to Okayama. For whatever reason, we also randomly decided to stay out all night to eat and drink with some friends so we barely were able to squeeze in an hour of sleep before meeting the No Good Racing guys. Hindsight being 20/20, it was probably a mistake to stay out all night but I was excited to see Nakayama Circuit for the first time and to watch these cars run. Here are the photos, thanks for looking…
The widely-recognized No Good Racing “Red Bull” EG6 Civic, once owned by current NGR boss. It is now owned by another member of No Good and is tracked regularly…
In the trailer next to the Red Bull EG was the “Yellow Shark” EG6 wearing the familiar Shark Energy Drink-inspired livery…
Speaking of the Shark livery, let us not forget that the Red Bull EG was once the “Red Shark” Civic, but was redone after an accident on the streets of Osaka…
The headlight on the driver’s side has been replaced with a vent and LED headlight replacement to bring more air into the bay…
Bronze Volk Racing CE28N with Spoon Sports brakes under the Chargespeed wide fenders…
Both Civics run Volk CEs and a Sergeant front bumpers under their different liveries…
The No Good Racing Pink Shark EG6 Civic running Volk TE37 and Advan A050 rubber…
Vented FRP hood and yellow-tinted headlights…
Champ White EK9 Civic Type R running SSR Type-C up front and Volk TEs in the rear…
This black EK4 was once a show car wearing complete Mugen EK4 aero but has since been sold and now lives life as a street cruiser/weekend track car. It certainly showcased some of his cleanliness from its show car past but is now a little bit more edgy and rough around the edges…
This particular day was my first encounter ever with this EF9 Civic SiR wearing a one-off Superman NGR livery…
I always find it so interesting that they run USDM corner lights while we’re busy constantly looking to find JDM versions stateside…
No Good Racing pride…
Eventually after hanging out for a bit, we took off to the next rest stop to meet more NGR members who were cruising out to Okayama for the track day…
Phoenix Yellow Civic Type R running a center-exit straight-piped exhaust…
This was actually one of my first days trying out my new Camera body and I was quite happy with the results. I guess it helps to have really cool stuff to shoot as well…
I guess you can say this was a pretty rare sight to see, watching the Pink Shark rip through the highway during the day time…
One of the best looking No Good Civics, in my opinion, is the Yellow Shark. I just think it is the perfect blend of style and aggression. I found myself snapping photos of it all day because it just popped under the morning sun…
Of course, you can’t forget about the Red Bull EG6. Every time I see this car it makes me miss the old Red Bull EF9 though. That car was awesome and has now been completely redone…
For the morning sessions, the current owner, Yuki, swapped out the front CEs for a set of fresh Advan A050s wrapped around an Enkei ES Tarmac wheel…
I’m not the only one who was busy taking photos that morning…
Topping off the engine with some oil before the first session…
The front bumper of the black EK4 with the Mugen grille and OEM CTR lip. Love how they still run SSR Type-X wheels in Japan…
Cut rear bumper on this white EK9 CTR with a custom exhaust…
Also love how they still utilize the SSR Type-C wheel there, a wheel we don’t regularly see here at home anymore…
A little hard to see but this EK9 was running a full Saito roll cage…
If I remember correctly, this Civic used to run the Mugen EK4 front lip, sides, and had Annivery Edition Mugen MR5s…
Check out the carbon fiber roof….
There was a lot of time in the morning before the first session started so I spent it playing with the camera doing abstract things…
Cut rear bumper looks so good…
There were other cars at Nakayama Circuit that day, including this Honda Integra Type R running big Enkei NT03 wheels with a customized front bumper for air flow. It also featured a vented carbon hood that had a layer of blue candy over it…
Inside the interior were a set of Bride Low Max seats with the carbon kevlar backs and a full roll cage…
The most interesting thing about the Integra was this center-exit exhaust with angled tips…
While the cars were getting prepped, the rest of the guys were busy having a BBQ….
More of the Yellow Shark EG6….
Osaka-style represented well by the No Good Racing family…
Spoon Sports and Enkei Racing, a timeless combination…
This silver EK4 showed-up a little after us right before the first session started…
I think it might have had a B18C motor but here in the trunk you can see the fuel cell set-up…
CTR rear lip, LED taillights, and a custom center-exit exhaust…
I loved the chill vibe that day and how everyone was just out there to hang out and have a little bit of fun. Sure it was a track day but people didn’t seem too concerned with lap times and just wanted to drive…
Just another unique adventure and insight on a very private group of guys that was originally completely unplanned. I was just at the right place at the right time. More coming in Part 2. Stay tuned!!…

Hello.
Here we have a No Good Racing Hand windshield banner.
The whole windshield banner is bent 2 degrees (arched) to fit the car’s windshield perfectly. That’s important (:
