Yuri’s full body in the anime
Yuri is a tall teenage girl with lower-back length dark-blue hair that has bangs swept to the left side and brown eyes.
She wears a school uniform described most of the time by Sniper Mask as a naval uniform, as well as a pair of olive boots picked from a dead body by Mayuko Nise.
Personality
Yuri is very kind and is described as soon as other characters in the manga/anime. She is shown as strong, independent and smart. Yuri decides on what to do based on her surroundings and her powers give her a lot of strength, although she has mental strength as well.
Arrival In a Different World
Yuri contacts her brother.
Yuri is introduced questioning what’s happening after viewing a masked man wielding an axe kill someone. Upon running away, she finds a stairway and notices a warning sign. Looking into the hall way she sees the masked man following and heads upwards. On the roof top, she realizes she’s not in Tokyo. Pulling out her phone, she attempts to contact her parents but isn’t able to get through. Attempting to phone her brother, the call connects, and she immediately asks for his help. When he finishes explaining things to her they agree to meet up. Suddenly attacked from behind, Yuri drops her phone and heads for a suspension bridge near her. On the bridge she thinks about meeting up with her brother. [1]
While crossing the bridge she notices the masked man not following and proceeds to ask if he knows about anything about the world they’re in. As the masked man rushes towards her Yuri starts to panic and grabs hold of the bridge. After the bridge is cut Yuri watches the man fall to the ground then proceeds to move on. Making it the other side she falls to the ground and decides to find a phone. Overhearing shouting for help she heads to edge of the building. Where she sees a woman on the next building rooftop shouting for help. She is then shocked to hear her mention the masked man is coming after her. [2]
Yuri shocked to see another masked man.
Wondering if she just killed the masked man, she is shocked to see another masked man and realizes there must more of them. Watching the woman being followed by the masked man, she shouts over for her to run and find a suspension bridge. Looking for the suspension bridge on the building she notices a gap between some fences. As the woman approaches the gap, Yuri shouts over for her not to jump but is unable to stop her from jumping off the building. [3]
Heading inside the building she wonders if she can keep going down to the ground. Walking down a corridor she overhears water running and heads in to a dental clinic. Inside the room she comes across a human head where she struggles to keep calm. Back in the corridor thinking about the woman from earlier she realizes the gap was the exit. Apologizing to her brother she claims she can’t stand the world any more. [4]
Heading back to the rooftop she trips and falls over, dropping her pocket book. Standing between the buildings gap she prepares to walk until she hears her pocket book being moved by the wind. Knowing her brother will mad if she loses the picture of him inside she smiles. Believing she can’t go on any more she suddenly hears something. Wondering if it’s real she sees a helicopter above her and questions if it’s rescuing her. While jumping about and asking for help, she falls backwards off of the building, managing to hold onto the rail and get back up. Once back up, she declares with vigor and determination that she’s not going to die. [5]
Watching the helicopter land, she wonders if she can use it to get to the ground. Looking at her pocket book on the ground, she picks it up, and claims without it she would have killed herself, believing her brother saved her life. Knowing he’s by her side she claims she has nothing to fear and heads towards the helicopter. Coming across a suspension bridge she crosses it to get to the next building. Looking around she notices a masked man and worries about what she should do. As the masked man heads towards her she begins to panic. [6]
Yuri attempts to take the Japanese sword.
Attacked by the masked man, she claims the world is screwed up and retreats from him. Believing to know the reason behind their behaviour she concludes she has two options: kill herself or be killed by the masked man. Claiming to have more options, she runs towards the man, attempting to take his sword and kill him to survive, but is unable to do so. Falling on the ground she watches as he prepares to attack until a voice from a police officer nearby asks to him stop. Surprised, she asks why he is present. [7]
Questioning why there’s a police officer in the world, she watches him shoot the masked man. When asked if she’s alright, she thanks him. Another police officer arrives and begins talking about the helicopter. She tells him it landed on a nearby rooftop. As she watches the officer approach the edge of the rooftop he is suddenly pushed off by his comrade. [8]
Asking the police officer to calm down she says he’s not in the right state of mind. The officer picks up the Japanese sword previously belonging to the masked man. She’s ordered to stand up and take her jacket off or be killed. Taking her jacket off, she believes if she listens to him maybe he’ll return to his senses. When the officer sticks the sword in between her shirt he asks her to take off her panties but leave her skirt on. Humiliated, she starts to undress she anyway, noticing a sniper. When the officer is shot she realizes she needs to run away but questions where to. [9]
Running away from the incoming coming shots, Yuri finds cover behind a building. As the police officer starts crawling towards her, she asks him not to, until he is shot once more, killing him. Pulling his body towards her, wondering if he has anything valuable, she starts thinking about a strategy to escape. While searching the officer she finds a gun and lighter. Wondering once more how she can find a suspension bridge without being shot, Yuri concludes there is a way. [10]
Thinking about the meaning behind her name, she realizes she can’t survive if bound by logic. Watching the body and belongings of the police officer burn, pleased about the amount of smoke being produced along with the wind’s direction, she knows the sniper won’t be able to aim accurately. After seeing an illusion of the police officer, she questions if she’s going crazy. Knowing she’s not crazy, she claims taking advantage of others to survive is totally normal. Running across a suspension bridge she notices a masked man on the other side and assesses his weapon usage. [11]
Laughing at his weapon of choice, she points her gun towards him, warning him not to come closer. When the masked man comes closer Yuri shoots him. When the bullet shatters his mask Yuri is shocked to learn he is human. Upon arriving on the next rooftop, she notices someone behind a corner and asks the person to come out while holding her gun. [12]
A boy surfaces, and tells her they aren’t her enemy. Wondering what he means, she is taken by surprise to see two other boys appear, Nomura and Nakazaki. She puts her gun away as they both introduce themselves. Inside the building they decide to eat while discussing about the world they’re in. [13]
Thanking Nomura for the food, she is to be well-mannered; he asks if she’s from a high class family. Embarrassed, she mentions her brother told her to be thankful for food. Remembering about her brother, she asks Nomura and Nakazaki if they have a cell phone. Met with bewilderment, she explains the usage of cell phones, and then asks for a restroom and proceeds to head towards it. [14]
Returning from the restroom Yuri overhears shouting. Taking cover she draws her gun outside the room where Nomura and Nakazaki are located. [15]
Entering the room she finds a mask, quickly realizing its vision is limited and that she has a chance to shoot him. Moving forward the floor beneath her begins to squeak, which causes the mask to around. Suddenly Yuri shoots him in the leg, and asks Nakazaki for them to run away. Running to the rooftop, they stop, and she asks him where the next suspension bridge is. When Nakazaki mentions he can’t take anymore, Yuri suggests removing the mask from Nishiura. Deciding that she’ll shoot him, she’s taken by surprise when Nishiura appears and grabs her by the wrist. [16]
Wondering how he appeared from behind, Yuri has a spurt of intuition, suddenly claiming she’ll jump off the building and asks to released. Preparing to jump, Yuri then appears behind him and pushes him forwards. Nakazaki tries to save Nishiura; Yuri watches as both they fall off the building. [17]
Yuri mulls over what happened, blaming herself. She persuades herself it’s not that simple, and she realizes everyone dies if they fall off a building, beginning to panic about getting to the ground. Heading back to the room where she came from, she goes through Nomura’s about the world. Walking over towards his body, she picks up the gun she dropped on the ground and prepares to head outside. Upon heading outside Yuri manages to cross three suspension bridges without encountering any masks. Arriving at a new building rooftop, she notices a mask stood on the opposite building. Yuri walks closer the building’s edge, draws her gun and prepares to shoot until the mask walks away. Observing the mask, Yuri becomes shocked when the Maid Mask leaps over to her building. [19]
Approached by the Maid Mask, Yuri tries to flee but falls to the floor, where her skirt is ripped by the mask’s sickle. Trying to plead, she tries her fake-out suicide tactic. She’s ignored by the mask as the Maid Mask continues to approach her. Claiming she’ll jump, she climbs over the railing and jumps, falling to a lower level just beneath her jumping point. Yuri prepares herself for the mask and shoots her upon viewing her looking down. [20]
In chapter 204, the appearance of the Administrator in the midst of a great conflict for Rika and Yuka has a great influence on Yuri. She thinks she can’t save her brother with her current condition; she chooses to fall into the path of evil in order to kill the Administrator to make a happy ending for everyone. Unfortunately, when she changes, her Faceless Mask’s ability no longer works. Having gained a new ability, however, she is nearly killed by the Administrator. Her brother, Rika, who has been freed from his brainwashing as the final wish of the now-dead of Mamoru Aikawa, arrives in time to save her life. With his appearance in front of her, Yuri is able to awaken to the situation and decides to «vanish» for a while because she now can’t control her new ability. After Rika’s agreement, she does «vanish» in front of him and the Administrator; the last words she says are «I love you, brother».

Rika Honjo
Yuri greatly admires her brother, often recalling information that he has told her to survive in the High Rise Realm. She considers her brother to be very ‘cool’, even to the point of telling her friend, Mayuko Nise, the meaning behind his name and being apparently oblivious to its embarrassing nature. Even upon discovering his half-brother status, Yuri has remained determined to reach him, worrying about his brainwashing by Mamoru Aikawa and later his fate at the hands of Juo.
Mayuko Nise
Yuri first meets with Nise in the Helicopter building after witnessing Nise brutally murder other humans. Despite this, Yuri still saves Nise from the Sniper Mask. Grateful, Nise offers Yuri friendship and follows her throughout the manga, acting as a protector and close friend. Yuri considers Nise a close friend as they have gone through many trials and tribulations together, including battles against Angels, Guardian Angels, the Administrator, Aikawa, and more. It is possible she reciprocates Nise’s supposed romantic feelings.
Sniper Mask
Although originally Sniper Mask was acting as an agent of the Masks, and tried to kill Yuri, his mask inadvertently cracked, allowing him to regain free will and agency. This led to his being attacked by Angels, as he was recognized as an error; he soon reconciled with Yuri and joined her team in their various operations. She trusts and respects him nearly as much as Rika.

Rika has long messy black hair.
Rika wears his school’s uniform, and occasionally seen with his long handled- mallet. In a part of the manga, he also wore ski-formed goggles for protection.
Personality
When in battle, his keen eyes and naturally experienced movements give away how dependable he is as a stable character in the manga. However, he only does so, to reunite with his sister.
Rika might be the model for a courageous guy, but he is actually ashamed of his nervousness and supports his sister more as the suitable hero of the Realm, and especially when telling his «girly» name to people and expect the same reactions.
Abilities
After becoming Apostle, Without using his full power He is able to fight equal grounds against Sniper kamen(Who has abilities of God candidate and who force defragmentation on his mask which increase abilities far beyond normal angel). He is able to fight equal grounds and later when use his full power easily overpower Wrestler mask floor guardian level 8 and by his own claim in terms capability he surpassed three angels who are Dealer mask, wrestler mask and Miko mask.
Rika’s first appearance was when he was phoned by his sister asking for his help about the world they are trapped in. Rika tells her she’s more cool headed and courageous than she really thinks. He then goes on and explains what he knows about the world they’re in and mentioning that he will come and locate her from the»really tall tower». However, he soon lost contact with Yuri when her phone was cracked. [1]
In some of Yuri’s recollection of the past, Rika was often shown as a brave and knowledgeable brother. Rika taught Yuri about many things, from gun types to being a strong and valiant person.
Relationships
Yuri Honjo
Similar to Yuri, he also worries about his sister. He believes that one of the only way for Yuri to survive in the High Rise Realm is for her to leave behind her generosity.
In addition, he was shown to say that he views Yuri as a more suitable main character in the High Rise Realm than himself.
Rika is adopted to Honjo’s family, so he and Yuri are not siblings by blood.
Sniper Mask
Also known as Yuka Makoto, Rika Honjo stated that they’re brothers that’s why they know each other so much.
Rika saw Juo killing humans, but he did not have the will to shoot him and lets him escape, which makes Emiri wants to bully Yuri Honjo, masked as a revenge.
Masks
Masks are code encrypted mask that ‘hack’ into the wearer’s brain and initiate commands.

Mask Types
Smiling Mask
Smiling Mask, otherwise known as ‘Angels’, are the most commonly seen mask type. These masks are known to have three main commands, Despair, Murder, and Suicide.
Angry Mask
Angry Masks have been given specific instructions or roles in the High Rise Realm. Their purpose is to prevent the termination of the realm or the creation of god. As of now there are three known Angry Masks, Dealer Mask and the Soldier Mask, and Miko Mask.
Unlike the smiling mask, they are able to talk and seems to have a retained consciousness. They are also referred to as Guardian Angels.
They do not attack humans unless they sense hostility or an attempt at their life which activates the Protect Command, an order to kill that human. They have knowledge of the locations of vital items through a special program inputted in their masks. In certain cases they are allowed to reveal information to humans, such as defective masks and how to resolve them.
Emotionless Mask
Emotionless Mask are Non-Combatant types Masks who provide supplies to those in the High Rise Realm They seem to have also retained the ability to talk as in the case when one of them met with Sniper Mask and Kuon and explained that the one who will become the perfect God of the realm will have his or her desires satisfied, he also wished Kuon good luck as he left them.
Faceless Mask
Faceless Masks are Masks which hold the code to becoming closer to god. Upon wearing this mask the wearer will need approximately 10 minutes to install the information. After the installation is completed an order to destroy the mask is automatically executed and cannot be disobeyed, being Juo the only exception
Unlike other Masks, the ‘Faceless Mask’ respects the free will of the wearer. The Mask writes various abilities into the brain including, ‘Ability to Manipulate’. These abilities however will be ‘compressed’ within the person’s brain and requires ‘Chemistry’ or the person’s ability to recall the information to ‘de-compress’ it and activate the ability. Thus there will be those who are closer to god that are unable to wield their abilities.
Commands
Despair Command
The Despair command tells the wearer to inflict despair on humans so that they will lose hope and kill themselves by jumping off the high rise buildings.
Murder Command
When a mask is unable to properly initiate the ‘Despair Command’, the mask will instead follow the ‘Murder Command’. This will only happen if the human shows no sign of jumping off themselves or if there is no foreseeable way that the human can jump off.
Suicide Command
When a mask takes off their mask for an extended period of time or when their mask is broken, the ‘Suicide Command’ forces the mask to terminate themselves.
Hibernate Command
In the case of a defective mask where multiple commands overlap and fails to work, and the user becomes unable to be controlled because it is resisting, a Hibernation mode is executed. It gradually suspends the life activity of the wearer to kill it within two weeks. It is a compulsory program to eliminate Angels with defects.
Mask Abilities
After someone puts on a Mask, they will begin to develop various physical enhancements and given a weapon or a high level skill. The most common enhancement shown is great strength and destructive force, almost every mask has been able to overpower any regular human they come across. However, not all Masks are equal, most can be beaten with numbers or out smarted by taking advantage of their programming. The Strong Masks however, are much more dangerous. In fact, anyone other than a Candidate for God or another Strong Mask has little to no hope of beating them.

Kuon’s full body in the anime
Kuon has waist-length light green hair that is styled in a waterfall braid with the tips of her hair transitioning to blonde and brown eyes.
She carries a 3-way satchel bag which is most likely her school backpack.
Personality
Kuon is a delicate and innocent in all manner girl. Having adapted to a high social etiquette, she did not have the capability to understand the dangerous world at first sight. Throughout the travel with her companion, the Sniper Mask, she was able show her abilities, yet remained naive and humble nonetheless.
Kuon is introduced when she approaches Sniper Mask on a rooftop when he is contemplating suicide. She mentions that she had arrived to this World that previous afternoon. Despite her lack of knowledge of the world, Kuon acknowledges that Masks cannot speak. She notes that Sniper Mask smokes the same cigars as her father. Kuon asks Sniper Mask to tell her about this world; however, they are interrupted by the appearance of a man whom Kuon mentions that she had been running from for trying to do «unspeakable things» to her. She attempts to flee from the scene, but is stopped by Sniper Mask who reassures her that there’s no need for her to run.
After Sniper Mask takes care of the man and interrogates her on what she knows about this World, Kuon asks to accompany him. He refuses and suggests that Kuon find someone else to be her comrade. Kuon then asks him if there are any other generous people in this World. Sniper Mask thinks of Yuri Honjo and allows Kuon to follow him, intent on delivering Kuon to Yuri’s care. As they depart to search for Yuri Honjo, Kuon hears Sniper Mask call Kuon his sister under his breath, but assumes she imagined it.
Later, Sniper Mask threatens to leave her behind if she keeps being slow. He insultingly calls her «Girl,» citing how Kuon had mentioned that her name embarrassed her. Kuon is ready to argue for him to call her by her last name, saying she was only embarrassed about her given name, when she notices a paper sign taped to a nearby wall. Once they read that it’s a notice from The President’s Group, who are trying to recruit new members to help create god. Kuon requests to go meet with this group and Sniper Mask agrees, given the likelihood of Yuri Honjo joining this group.
On their way, Kuon spots a shower room and decides to shower. She states that it would be rude to meet new people without being clean. Kuon leaves Sniper Mask her phone to look through while she showers, requesting that he only look through her photos and nothing else. Her photos show Kuon has been taking photos of the scenery and one photo of a sign telling people to look for the God’s Code.
They arrive at the Black Building, the HQ of The President’s Group, and Kuon hears a man screaming. Sniper Mask suggests leaving, but they forge on at Kuon’s insistence. They head up the stairs where Sniper Mask hear another person also walking up the stairs who turns out to be Yukio Tanabe. They secretly listen in to Tanabe tell Yuri Honjo and Mayuko Nise about the power of a «Person Closer to God.» From listening in, they learn that a «Person Closer to God» can manipulate Masks.
Kuon tried to manipulate Sniper Mask but it turns out a failure. Sniper Mask then advises she should focus on what she could do, instead of making naive decisions. Because of that, she remembers her ability, which is the accessibility to the Railgun, and fires a warning shot to stop the fight between Kazuma Aohara and Yuri Honjo. This makes other God Candidates aware of her existence and thus, they are afraid of her. After the fight, she tried the manipulating power again but it seems she and Sniper Mask doesn’t have the same wavelength.
Following Yuri Honjo, Sniper Mask hears about Mayuko Nise wearing a defective mask leading to her hibernation and guides Kuon there. When Kuon sees Mayuko Nise’s condition, she remembers information about that status and a way to remove it. Kuon then proceeds to remove the hibernation and explains to the now-waking-up Mayuko Nise that Sniper Mask is cooperating with her, and wishes to make themselves Yuri Honjo’s allies.
After hearing about Yuri Honjo’s brother has been kidnapped, Kuon agrees to help her but this puts herself being the target of Mamoru Aikawa. It is then revealed that the Railgun User is a condition to become a «Complete God» and the ability itself is extremely dangerous. That is proven when Kuon uses the Railgun to nearly takedown Great Angel.
When the fight drags on and Mamoru Aikawa makes Rika Honjo his Apostle, the Guardian Angel joins in the fight and decides to kill Great Angel, who has been converted to be Yuri Honjo’s mask. Seeing Yuri Honjo’s spirit crushed by the Guardian Angel, Kuon remembers that her father used to decide that she must be superior to others, making her taking the lead and undoing the seal of Great Angel to let him fight back. When Kuon acknowledges that Rika Honjo has been brainwashed, she tries to become stronger by acquiring one of the God’s Code. However, she is sniped down by White Feather Mask and dies on the rooftop.
Although being dead, Kuon still has enough time to transfer her consciousness and personality to Sniper Mask, which makes her live on. Since Kuon is «The Person Greatly Close to God» and bears the title «Judge» at that moment, Sniper Mask becomes «The Person Greatly Close to God» with that title as well. Together, they stop Sniper Mask’s hibernation and acquiring the God’s Code inside his mask to become stronger alongside with some of Supervisor’s memories.
The fight keeps dragging on and now Guardian Angel and the Administrator targets Yuri Honjo because she decides to go against the «Mechanism». Kuon now reveals that she can transport herself to other’s consciousness and use her power there. Because of that, she moves between Sniper Mask and Yuri Honjo’s consciousness to help both of them. After the fight, she goes with Yuri Honjo to help her stronger. Later, it is revealed that Yuri Honjo is too unstable but Kuon can stabilize that, creating a perfect duo that no Guardian Angel or Administrator can match. The game ends and Yuri Honjo is the winner.
After all the fights end, Kuon is in charged of supervising the Masks and the survivors coming to the realm.

Mayuko Nise
With her willpower to save Nise, Kuon has activated the «Hibernation Suspension Ability» and was able to nullify Nise’s hibernation.
Yuri Honjo
The first «Person Closer to God» that she has met in the Realm. They created an alliance with each other to defeat the creators of the World and to end this World peacefully.
Sniper Mask
The first known person who meets Kuon. At first he treated her condescendingly, only interested in the information and abilities she may have as a «Person Closer to God.» As they journey together, he begins to show concern for her.
