okay here is what i do:
— i am in the «sandstorm» folder where i see the «EasyAntiCheat» folder, the Insurgency.exe and the InsurgencyEAC.exe.

Firstly, press Windows + R to open the RUN dialog box, type %appdata%\EasyAntiCheat\GameLauncher, and press OK.
Only thing i can think of is uninstall the game, then find EAC and delete the folder. Then install the game on a different drive. Preferably a drive that is not C: drive. That should fix the issue.
Sometimes a file doesn’t update correctly for various reasons with the game or EAC. Manually removing all traces and reinstalling usually fixes the issue.

My game is installed not on drive C:, so I don’t think it’s an issue after all. As to removing the EAC folder, isn’t it in the game’s root folder anyway?

Since updating, I can’t launch the game with anti-cheat enabled. It crashes and a box pops up and says ‘EasyAntiCheat Bug Report’.

Well, Win8 still has a built-in firewall, it’s just non-intrusive and you never see it. 🙂
Not sure how many EAC guys are still monitoring the forums right now, they were active earlier today.
I had Run as Administrator checked on the 7dtd.exe, unchecked it and reran the EAC file to start the game.
Worked fine.
That was the problem. I removed the Run as Administrator for the main executable file in the steam subfolder and it started right up!
I can’t seem to figure out how to get this to work. When I try to start 7DTD, it says «XmlExeption: Document element did not appear line 1, position 1» It seems to happen whenever I try to run with AND without anti-cheat. I even tried to follow Red Eagle’s Workaround on http://steamcommunity.com/app/251570/discussions/1/558752451201277624/ and I still can’t get it to work. I would delete the file as directed, only for me to follow the instruction to «verifiy the game cashe» which throws me back to square one. Is there a step I missed somewhere? I’m very confused as to why there are plenty of people not having issues, yet I’m one of those who still are.
I think I’m just gonna have to revert back to 9.1 until either I figure out what to do about 9.2, or TFP guys can release a patch to fix this patch. I suppose that I shoulden’t get wound up because it’s an EA game, yet I just feel upset (and even saddened) that I can’t get back into the game and enjoy it as much without 9.2 I can be patient though, that’s not a problem for me at all. Anyhow, any help would be greatly appreciated and welcome, otherwise like I said, I’ll just revert back to 9.1. 🙂

I fixed it. Easy anticheat lack files in roaming folder. type in youtube «Fix ELDEN RING Easy Anti Cheat Error Failed To Initialize The Game Launcher» problem is fixed for me. Admins please fix that problem before people will come from work and start spaming you with this error. peace
