War on the SMP is quite a common occurrence, and it can sometimes be difficult to keep track of all of them. Below is a simple list of all of the wars that have taken place, or are currently taking place on the server, and a brief description.
The few server-wide major wars on the server often arise from important countries or factions like L’Manberg and Dream SMP, like the Dream Team SMP vs. L’Manberg War and the Manberg vs Pogtopia War.

Conflicts
The Disc Saga
Results: Tommy reclaims the Discs, Dream serves in Pandora’s Vault until further notice, Punz becomes the acting leader of Greater Dream SMP
The Disc Saga was a conflict that primarily happened between TommyInnit, Tubbo and Dream concerning the ownership of Tommy’s most prized discs, Cat and Mellohi. After several skirmishes, Tommy ended up getting back his discs, before trading them to Dream for independence for L’Manberg. Dream eventually traded Cat to Skepy. Tommy managed to get a fake and a real version of Mellohi back from Dream, before Wilbur asked to take them until they won the election. They were later returned due to POG2020 technically having won the popular vote.
Due to Tommy’s attachment to these discs, he refused to become the leader of L’Manberg after the Manberg vs Pogtopia War, saying he had «unfinished business» with Dream. This lead to Tubbo becoming president. Dream managed to get Mellohi from Tubbo after the Green Festival and Cat from Skeppy later on.
The Disc Saga finally came to a close on the 20th of January, 2021, with Tommy regaining both Cat and Mellohi, and Dream serving in Pandora’s Vault. The Disc War is the longest conflict on the SMP to date.
The Dream Team SMP vs. L’Manberg War
Results: L’Manberg recognized by the Greater Dream SMP, Tommy’s discs traded to Dream for L’Manbergian independence
The War for L’Manbergian Independence is one of the better-known wars on the server, and is responsible for the creation of L’Manberg. The conflict started after Wilbur Soot and Tommy declared independence from the Greater Dream SMP, angering Dream enough to declare war on L’Manberg. After several battles, and Eret’s betrayal of L’Manberg, Wilbur surrendered to Dream. However, Tommy still challenged Dream to a duel, saying that if Tommy won, Dream would give L’Manberg its independence, and if they lost, Dream would get Mellohi. Tommy ended up losing, but at the last moment, made a deal with Dream, and gave him both of his discs in exchange for L’Manberg’s independence.
The Railway Skirmish
Results: Tommy losing Shank, Tubbo losing full set of enchanted netherite armor, returning Dream’s armor, Tommy gaining Spirit and Dream’s maxed-out sword.
The Railway Skirmish was a short conflict between Tommy, Dream, and Tubbo, after Tommy accidentally ran over Dream with a minecart, «killing» him. In reality, Dream had used /kill as a joke, not expecting Tommy and Tubbo to steal his high powered gear, seeking an advantage over Dream. Tommy and Tubbo attempted to trade Dream’s stuff to him in exchange for the discs, but Dream wouldn’t take it, saying he could easily grind back all of the gear over time. During the conflict, Dream killed Tommy’s horse, as he believed that Tommy had his powerful netherite sword, which had gone missing. In exchange, Tommy gave Dream his netherite sword, «Shank», in a trade. Dream accepted this, and everyone else seemed to believe that Dream’s sword had just despawned, until in a turn of events, Tubbo revealed that he had the sword hidden in a secret chest all along.
The Pet War
Results: Pyrrhic victory for Sapnap, Fungi’s grave blown up, many pets killed
The Pet War is a conflict primarily involving Sapnap, Nihachu, Punz, and Fundy, and the killing of their respective pets. It began when Sapnap was firing arrows at Nihachu’s pet fox, Fungi, as a joke, but it ended with him killing the fox on his fifth shot. Nihachu, angered by the death of her fox, went to get revenge on Sapnap, with the help of TommyInnit. Tommy stole Sapnap’s fish, Beckerson and Mars, who happened to also belong to George and Dream, giving him his own leverage in the Disc Saga. After hearing what had happened to Nihachu’s fox, Fundy was angered, as he had a similar attachment to it as Nihachu. In retaliation, Fundy killed Sapnap’s favorite fox, Sketchers, which started a chain reaction of both killing the others pets. Sometime between, Fundy toyed with Punz and killed his favorite bee, Beenus, in the bee game, during this event Punz accidentally killed him causing him to lose his netherite pants that was used as leverage later. Eventually, after Sapnap blew up Fungi’s grave, Fundy challenged Sapnap to a duel, of which Sapnap won. However, he returned some of Nihachu’s pets he’d stolen as a token of good will, ending the conflict.
The War of the Burning Eiffel Tower
Results: Pogtopian victory, netherite items taken from BadBoyHalo, Antfrost, Sapnap, and Skeppy
The War of the Burning Eiffel Tower is a conflict between the people of Pogtopia with help from Niki, and Sapnap, BadBoyHalo, and Skeppy. The Battle of the Lake occurred during the war in which Tommy, Technoblade, Nihachu and Dream fought against Sapnap, Skeppy, BadBoyHalo, Antfrost, and Punz. Tommy, Technoblade, and Dream were deemed victorious with Punz backstabbing the opposing team.
The Second Pet War
Results: Polar bear killed, Sapnap’s belongings returned
The Second Pet War was a conflict between Punz and Sapnap against the members of the Badlands, Antfrost, BadBoyHalo, and Awesamdude. After Punz and Sapnap discovered a panda in the jungle biome near Tubbo’s jungle base, the two decided to keep it as a pet. While leaving it alone in Punz’s base, a stream sniping Ant decided to take it as his own for his Animal Sanctuary. Eventually, Sapnap and Punz found out, and while retrieving the panda from Ant and Bad, retrieve. Punz accidentally punched the panda, which caused it to die from the thorn aspect of Punz’s armor. In retaliation, Sapnap griefed the Skeppy Statue built for him by Bad, and killed Ant’s polar bear Frosty as revenge. This led to a battle in multiple areas, with temporary truces in between. The conflict ended after an agreement to return Sapnap’s belongings.
The Final Pet War
Results: Mars released into the ocean, Tommy and Sapnap become friends
The Final Pet War is the final pet conflict, involving Sapnap and TommyInnit taking place on November 15, 2020. The two attempted to negotiate for their pets. Tommy wanted Juorse, his horse, while Sapnap wanted Mars. However, Tommy refused to return Mars. Sapnap then killed Juorse and attacked Tommy who hid near his holiday home. Dream and George then joined the server to kill Sapnap for an unknown reason. Sapnap jumped off Punz’s tower to deny them the pleasure of killing him. After Sapnap respawned, they went to his secret base. Sapnap encouraged Tommy to kill the pets in his base but Tommy refused. They then decided to hold a duel to end the conflict immediately since there was an upcoming war the next day. The two agreed that if Tommy won, he would get all of Sapnap’s armor, and if Sapnap won, he would get Mars back. The two dueled valiantly in Eret’s museum but Tommy lost quickly and anticlimactically. Later, Tommy and Sapnap spoke privately. Tommy proposed that Mars be released into the ocean and Sapnap offered to do it himself. Sapnap released the fish into the ocean near Rutabagville. The two former enemies bonded with each other and opened themselves up to being allies after the substantial war that was to come, and their relationship was healed.
Manberg vs Pogtopia War
Results: Pogtopian victory, a large portion of L’Manberg blown up, Tubbo Administration instated, Schlatt and Wilbur both canonically die
The Manberg vs Pogtopia War was a major war, taking place on the 16th of November, 2020. The battle was between Pogtopia and Manberg. During the war, it appeared that the majority of the server supported Pogtopia’s side including an unknown person who would betray them during the war. During the fighting, Dream surrendered and led everyone to the Camarvan to watch a drunk Schlatt just before he died of a heart attack. The members of Pogtopia, hearing from Dream that the traitor setup was a lie, celebrated their victory and began to rebuild the nation, Wilbur making Tubbo the president, only for Wilbur to detonate L’Manberg before dying to Phil. Dream revealed that he’d been lying earlier, and that the traitor was actually Wilbur. The war came to a head as Technoblade (after realizing Pogtopia intended to instate a new government), Dream SMP and the Badlands fought against the reinstated L’Manberg along with two Withers. The nation managed to survive nonetheless, with Tubbo still at the helm.
Mexican L’Manberg Conflict
Results: Eret recognized by Mexican L’Manberg as King, Mexican L’Manberg recognized by Dream SMP and renamed to El Rapids, Karl Jacobs loses a life
The Mexican L’Manberg Conflict was a war between the factions of Dream SMP and Mexican L’Manberg. Mexican L’Manbergians planned to reinstate GeorgeNotFound as king and get their country recognized. A bombing at a peaceful protest of Sapnap and Karl Jacobs was planned at the entrance of the Pride Palace when Eret would enter. The bombing would be blamed on Eret for reposing a «peaceful» protest that would harm his reputation severely. However, the plan went awry as soon as it started. The terrorists believed that Eret would be alone, so they could pin it on one person. However, Eret had arrived with a newly formed military battalion under his command: the Knights of Eret. Mexican L’Manberg denied all actions, and fled to their country. Dream saw this as an act of war, and the Knights of Eret under Eret’s command and Dream blew up the country. The members of Mexican L’Manberg fled to the Holy Land to seek a peace deal without conflict. Dream SMP eventually found out that the person who set off the bomb was GeorgeNotFound, the dethroned king. Quackity, however, still managed to negotiate for the recognition of Mexican L’Manberg, provided they comply with a few of the Dream SMP’s conditions and rename their country.
Doomsday War
Results: Decisive Anarchist victory, L’Manberg destroyed and dissolved, Jack Manifold canonically dies and revives himself from hell
The Doomsday War was overall one of the most destructive wars on the entire server. On the other hand, the war saw no canon casualties, due to the amount of non-canon deaths there were as well as plot reasons for later events. It seemed to be an impossible job for the anarchist team; with only 3 players. However, Technoblade, Dream, and Phil had a few tricks up their sleeves, with Dream’s almost endless amount of explosives, Techno’s wither vault, and the Hound Army. The time of the event was originally set for 3:00 Eastern Standard Time, however Dream believed they were at total war, so he asked for Techno and Phil to hasten their preparations and leave for L’Manberg at 2:30 Eastern Standard Time. The trio arrived at L’Manberg shortly after. Techno releasing his hidden army underneath L’Manberg, Phil taking a hidden position upon the L’Manberg apiary, and Dream standing upon the obsidian grid he quickly put together a few hours ago. Surprisingly, there was no forward guard protecting L’Manberg, so the three walked in with no resistance. On the L’Manbergian side, things were not looking too well. Saboteurs Fundy and Niki had sabotaged the equipment that Ponk had prepared for L’Manberg’s army. Half of the forces that promised to show were absent; with the Badlands sleeping through the event and Fundy and Niki betraying L’Manberg at the last possible minute.
Tubbo and Tommy were left with half an army consisting of mercenaries, killers, traitors, and L’Manbergians, disloyal to say the least. The force was poorly equipped with only Punz, Sapnap, Eret, and Jack Manifold equipped with decent armor. The rest were equipped with whatever they could’ve scrounged up including unenchanted diamond armor and leather. The force moved out for L’Manberg after Techno came and mocked them for not defending their country. Techno and his hound army fought against the force while Phil tried to pick them off from range using his bow. Meanwhile, Dream set up his explosives, waiting for 3:00. Techno then gave a signal for Phil to start summoning withers. Around 15 were summoned, and they brought upon as much damage as Techno did himself.
As 3:00 came, Dream started to rain down the explosives. These slowly began to destroy L’Manberg, killing all unarmored inhabitants within the city itself. Techno and Tommy eventually locked gazes. Tommy called Techno out first, saying that he betrayed him. Techno retorted with saying that Tommy had betrayed him, taking resources and valuables for his personal gain and to achieve his own selfish goals. Tommy then said that people mattered and that the discs that he was working for would solve the conflict. Techno interrupted his sentence by saying that discs were not people. Tommy then shouted at Techno that they spent hours together, in which Techno interrupted his sentence again by saying Tommy knew nothing of loyalty. He explained to Tommy that he and Wilbur would’ve done nothing to save him at the Manberg Festival and that Techno would’ve given his life to Tommy at the Green Festival. Eventually, the fighting died down and L’Manberg was left a crater, reaching down to bedrock. The anarchists dominated the battle, leaving L’Manberg with no hope. Tubbo finally dissolved the nation and the L’Manbergians went their separate ways.
Blood Vines and the Egg
Results: Temporary Victory for Egg Opposition/Team Omelette, Retreat made by Eggpire Forces, Antfrost and Foolish each lose a canon life

Early Dream SMP Arc
BT (Before Tommy)
The “Before Tommy Era” was the beginning of the Dream SMP. In the beginning, the server was introduced as the survival world and only composed of the Dream Team and a few close friends. Everyone lived close to each other and the Community House was the core of the server.
AT (After Tommy)
The “After Tommy Era” saw a huge growth of members, nearly doubling the amount of the Before Tommy Era. As a result, the SMP had many more well-known events and builds than before. During this era, The Disc Saga and The Socializing Club Conflict took place. Historical builds during this era include Tommy’s House, Punz’s house, Purpled’s Space Ship, Eret’s castle, Tubbo’s old house, and Jungle base, and many more.
During this period, nine new members joined the server: Tommy, Tubbo, Fundy, Punz, Purpled, Wilbur, Schlatt, Skeppy and Eret.
L’Manberg Independence Arc
The War for L’Manberg Independence
The “War for L’Manberg’s Independence” was an era of war between Dream SMP and L’Manberg. A new nation of L’Manberg was created after being tired of the Dream SMP thwarting drug trade that L’Manberg’s economy relied on. War broke out after Dream refused to give L’Manberg independence. Many battles were fought, and members of the server were split. Historical builds were built in L’Manberg during this era included the Camarvan and L’Manberg Wall.
After L’Manberg War
The “After L’Manberg War” was an era of L’Manberg growth and the establishment of the religion Church Prime and Holy Land occurred. Jack Manifold and Nihachu joined L’Manberg, and many new buildings were built near L’Manberg by L’Manbergians. The era also saw the addition of Quackity and Karl, sparking new building projects on the Greater Dream SMP. In addition, a war between Sapnap and Fundy known as The Pet War also occurred, and an incident where Tommy ran over Dream with a minecart led to The Railway Skirmish.
The L’Manbergian Election
The L’Manbergian Election was an era of campaigning, mainly between SWAG2020 and POG2020, for the presidency of L’Manberg. The election was originally started by Wilbur and Tommy to consolidate power, but Quackity and George entered the race. Late in the election, two third parties also joined the race for presidency.
Manberg Rebellion Arc
Electoral Fallout
The Electoral Fallout occurred following The L’Manbergian Election. After POG2020’s loss, L’Manberg saw a huge shift in power, and was rebranded to Manberg under the new leadership of Jschlatt. The power shift in L’Manberg and the banishment of Wilbur and Tommy sparked a rebellion, and many plots to overthrow Schlatt were developed. Jschlatt also revealed more plans to remove what was left of L’Manberg, and most notably, the burning of the L’Manberg flag happened.
A New Era
The Manberg Festival
The Manberg Festival Era was an eventful era where Manberg hosted a festival to celebrate democracy. This era includes the planning and the event itself. The Manberg Festival caused a shift in the opinions of the Jschlatt Administration. The Dreamon Hunters’ business also expanded with a newly built base to conduct Dreamon hunting business.
Festival Aftermath
The Festival Aftermath was an era of questioning alliances and a major disturbance in the Jschlatt Administration. New structures and schemes were formed, and events such as the Dreamon Hunter Invasion and Ponk’s Experiment occurred in lieu of the ongoing Manberg Rebellion.
Multiple builds were started; the Dream SMP Historical Museum, Atlantis (also called L’Mantis, L’Hole Sitnalta, and Casa de Hole), Ponk’s Thiccatron, and the Haunted Mansion.
Manberg-Pogtopia War Era
The Manberg-Pogtopia War Era is the era revolving around the rise of Pogtopian and formerly L’Manbergian/Manbergian citizens against Jschlatt and Dream during the Manberg Rebellion. War has taken place, with the Pogtopians victorious. The Pogtopians reformed L’Manberg, but at a cost. Most of the land was blown up from the large amounts of TNT under L’Manberg after Wilbur pressed the button, and Technoblade betrayed Pogtopia due to his standards of destruction and anarchy not being fulfilled. Technoblade added on to the destruction by adding withers to the TNT. At the end of the day however, L’Manberg was reformed as a democratic nation and Pogtopia, the Slums, the railway to Pogtopia, the museum, and the cat cafe were annexed into L’Manberg territory, giving L’Manberg vast resources and territory to put it on par with the Greater Dream SMP. This era has also taken the final canon lives of two SMP members, Wilbur Soot and Jschlatt.
Retribution Arc
Reconstruction Era
The Reconstruction Era follows the Manberg-Pogtopia War Era. The L’Manbergians must rebuild from the ruins that are left from the destruction of the past era. The Tubbo Administration has re-established peace in the territories of L’Manberg. Technoblade has been banished far into a tundra forest. However, there is also the looming threat of the Badlands and Dream SMP. Tommy, who refused the presidency of L’Manberg, is on a mission to reclaim his discs while having to face the consequences of being Vice-President.
During this period, like every other post-war era, six new members have joined the server: Ph1lzA, ConnorEatsPants, CaptainPuffy, Vikkstar123, LazarBeam, and Ranboo. Lazar and Vikkstar formed Boomerville, Ranboo joined L’Manberg, and the other members remained independent.
Post-Banishment Era
The Post-Banishment Era is an era of broken relationships and retribution. TommyInnit is once again banished, forming Logstedshire with the ghost of Wilbur Soot. L’Manberg has turned into a communist «utopia» ready to fight and defend the little things they have left. The nation strives to make alliances and good relations with the rest of the server to fight against Technoblade. Another faction, Mexican L’Manberg, was also created during this era, with Quackity being the president. After a political protest and some conflict, they were finally recognized as an independent nation, and renamed themselves to El Rapids. The mysterious blood vines develop during this era.
Vengeance Era
Disunion Era
The Disunion Era is the next step in society for the Dream SMP. L’Manberg is defeated and dissolved after the Doomsday War; the Dream SMP asserts dominance. As the ex-L’Manbergians go their different ways, the world enters into a fragile peace while TommyInnit and his remaining followers prepare to have another battle against Dream. Ghostbur recruits multiple powerful members into a small team to study the art of necromancy, planning to test it out on dead members of the SMP, primarily himself. The Badlands begin phase two of their grand plan to assert dominance over the server now that L’Manberg has been destroyed. Quackity begins to establish the roots of society, politics, and diplomacy.
Empowerment Arc
Imprisonment Era
The Imprisonment Era is the era after Dream is imprisoned in Pandora’s Vault after the events of the Disc Confrontation. The server enters a new dawn where the members would be free of fear from Dream. Meanwhile, with Dream in prison, the Badlands becomes the most powerful faction on the server and forms a coalition titled Eggpire with other server members to release the Egg to invade the weakened Dream SMP. Jack Manifold and Nihachu gain control of nukes and plan to kill Tommy with them. The beginnings of a capitalist and entertainment-based society take root, as Awesamdude and Quackity form a business partnership to take control of the newly formed economic system.
Prison Lockdown Era
The Prison Lockdown is the era following the Imprisonment Era. Following the security incident at Pandora’s Vault, TommyInnit is locked into the prison alongside Dream. Awesamdude increases prison security, hiring more guards. With the absence of Tommy, Jack Manifold takes over the Big Innit Hotel, renames it the «Big Jack Manifold Hotel,» and forms a partnership with Quackity, who is also starting a business in an attempt to gain power. After being locked in prison with Dream for a week, Tommy eventually loses his last canon life after being punched to death by Dream.
Mourning Era
The Mourning Era is the era following Tommy’s third canon death in Pandora’s Vault. The members of the SMP mourn (or in some cases, celebrate) Tommy’s death in different ways, and build various things in his memory as some of them try to figure out the reason behind the events that led to his death whilst not knowing Tommy was revived. This era also begins the union of The Syndicate; a group being assembled by Technoblade & Philza. Ranboo, Niki, and another unknown user are among the first to be recruited.
Post-Lockdown Era
The Post-Lockdown Era is the era following Tommy’s release from Pandora’s Vault. The members of the SMP are no longer dealing with Tommy’s death as they discover he has been resurrected. Tommy, Tubbo, and Ranboo begin to plan to kill Dream, and Quackity begins his attempts to revive Jschlatt. Jack Manifold attempts to get hired as a prison guard in his continued attempts to kill Tommy, and an unknown person causes a nuclear weapon to go missing from Snowchester. Kinoko Kingdom also begins to expand, and George has his first involvement in lore. The Eggpire also hosts the Red Banquet for all members of the server.
Banquet Aftermath Era
The Banquet Aftermath Era is the era of following the events of the Red Banquet. After losing control of the Egg at the banquet, the Eggpire is sent away to regroup and plan their next move, whilst those who oppose the Egg plan on locking it away in a vault for good. Quackity, with the help of Sam, continues his quest to gain the knowledge from the Book of Necromancy from Dream by any means necessary. Ranboo continues to learn about his Enderwalk State, and runs experiments on himself to learn more. Tommy and Tubbo are on a quest to kill Dream, yet Tommy accidentally gets Ghostbur killed by Dream and Wilbur revived using the Book of Necromancy. With a nuke missing from Snowchester, Tubbo, Foolish, and Jack plan to find it as soon as possible to prevent mass destruction. Away from the main storyline, we are shown glimpses of the near future as BadBoyHalo starts a country created after the end of the Egg in Foolish’s summer house called L’Sandberg that finds itself involved in various claims of leadership and conflict. Michaelmcchill joined during this time.
Las Nevadas Era
The Las Nevadas Era is the sixth era of the Empowerment Arc that follows the events of the third episode of Las Nevadas. Foolish, Purpled, and Fundy consider the offer to join the country of Las Nevadas put forth by Quackity. Tubbo and Ranboo investigate Las Nevadas and develop surveillance in an effort to protect Snowchester. Ranboo continues to learn about his Enderwalk state running experiments on himself to learn more. Awesamdude continues building his bank while assisting Quackity with efforts to take out Dream and Technoblade. Technoblade returns from his vacation and visits Dream for the first time, where Awesamdude then locks him in with Dream. Tommy catches up with Wilbur as Wilbur plans a visit to Dream. Away from the main storyline, we are shown more glimpses of the near future of the conflict in L’Sandberg. Soon after, Wilbur creates a hamburger van and recruits Ranboo to work in the van with him. Quackity then hires Tubbo to work the restaurant in Las Nevadas, with Tubbo signing a contract Quackity provides to make the cookie outpost a part of Las Nevadas.
Breakout Era
The Breakout Era is the seventh era of the Empowerment Arc and follows Technoblade’s escape from Pandora’s Vault. Technoblade prepares for revenge. Awesamdude investigates security flaws and the escape. Quackity prepares Las Nevadas for war.
