Спустя пару месяцев, заполненных споконами и махо-сёдзё, я узрела непризнаный шедевр, своим посылом, вполне, затмивающий приевшуюся «Атаку Титанов» и «Эхо террора»
Говорить о каждом нет смысла: практически всех в определенной мере раскрывают в аниме. В том числе, не буду заикаться о любимчиках или победители.
Здесь каждый персонаж интересный, со своей философией, целями и взглядами на мир, способностью и действиями.
Но смысл еще и в том, что единогласно главного героя здесь нет и не было изначально.
Чисто технически, графика не блещит новизной, но и не попахивает стариной.
Мне очень зашло то, как каждого персонажа выделили внешне, подчеркивая его принадлежность к животному.
Также то, как показаны все военные действия или просто разрешение криминальных конфликтов.
Музыка, в своем роде, не играет большой роли, что ясно понятно создателям. OSTы на уровне «под настроение идиально», не мешают и не навязываются.
Отдельный «+» представляют собой Opening и Ending
Opening сам по себе окрашивает картину происходящего: игра за «подарок судьбы», где игроки абсолютно незаинтересованны друг в друге, ведь, победитель точно не тот, кто стоит в сторонке.
Ending же напротив, показывает, что какими бы жестокими не были войны, они все еще люди со своими ценностями, проблемами и жизнями.
Бонусные «+» для меня
Конечно, из 12 персонажей, волей не волей, найдешь себе наиболее симпотизирующего.
Или даже не одного.
Потому что звери Китайского календаря разные.
Разные истории, принципы и желания.
Игра на выживание, многочисленные смерти, при этом такие неожиданные моменты и сюжетные повороты.
Опять же, это касается и персонажей с их судьбами и прошлым.
Я не ярая гетщица*, скорее, гетщина на мощных минималках, но.
Но отношения «Тигра» и «Быка» впали мне в душу.
Ушедшая на «Войну 12» ради встречи с праведным войном «Быком» Тора, и безупречный мастер убийст, что все еще помнит рыжую девчушку, которую спас, Ушио.
Два противоречия, встретившиеся однажды и однажды унесшие правду о своих чувствах в могилу.
Аниме с глубоким смыслом про жизнь, и о том, что в жизни нет смысла.
Не знаю, как дела обстоят в манге и насколько иначе, чем в аниме, но, по мне, всего показанного достаточно.
Не нужно вопросов и больше того, что не влияет на сюжет, но рассказывает о жизни героев.

Олицетворение обезьяны из Китайского зодиака. Настоящее имя — Мисаки Юки. Страдает неизлечимыми миролюбием и оптимизмом. Считает, что любой конфликт можно разрешить, несмотря на то, что сама за свою жизнь повидала много ужасов войны.
Цугиеши Сумино (Крыса)
Олицетворение крысы из Китайского зодиака. Настоящее имя — Цугиёши Сумино. Сонный и меланхоличный молодой человек. Обладает способностью «Сто путей», что позволяет ему выбрать или воспользоваться ста возможными реальностями. Процесс замены действительности крайне изнурителен, поэтому-то его постоянно и тянет в сон.
Сэйю: Юитиро Умэхара.
Олицетворение быка из Китайского зодиака. Настоящее имя — Эйджи Каши. Внешне отличается большими бычьими рогами на голове. В бою использует меч с длинным и тонким лезвием.
Сэйю: Хироми Игараси.
Олицетворение тигра из Китайского зодиака. Настоящее имя — Канаэ Айра. Убивает в пьяном препадке.
Такэясу Цумита (Змей)
Сэйю: Косуки Ториуми.
Младший брат Дракона. Настоящее имя — Такэясу Цумита. Гедонист, но вместе с этим расчётливый, холодный, недоверчивый и лживый.
Нагаюки Цумита (Дракон)
Старший брат Змея. Настоящее имя — Нагаюки Цумита. Энергичный, гордый, эксцентричный и властный.
Олицетворение петуха из Китайского зодиака. Настоящее имя — Рёка Нива. Производит впечатление робкой и неуверенной в себе девушки. Обладает способностью «Жадный глаз», позволяющей ей общаться с птицами и управлять ими.

Сэйю: Томохиро Нисимура.
Олицетворение собаки из Китайского зодиака. Настоящее имя — Мичио Цукуй. Работает в детском саду.

Appearance
Usagi was a young man with a fit build, he has messy white short hair which covered his left eye while his right eye is red with a black sclera. He is also shown to have sharp teeth. He wore a black rabbit-eared headpiece with one of the ears drooping over his left eye. He wears a collar with a black bow on his neck. Two black suspenders hooked across his shoulders supported his extremely tight and revealing black shorts. He also wore a large white rabbit tail on his back. His shoes were a pair of black dagger high heels.
Before killing Snake, he originally wore a black tuxedo vest with a white undershirt and black pants, along with his other regular attire.
Personality
Usagi has a distorted mental state. Upon first glance, he seemed to be quite childish, careless and impulsive as well. Despite all, he is quick-witted and strategic. As seen when he purposely kill Snake before the tournament starts, this allowed him to gain an advantage to face others with his necromancy. He is always thinking ahead, preparing for his next battle. So, when he kills he does so carefully so that he doesn’t cause too much damage his new «friend.»
Background
The details behind Usagi’s pasts are left unknown. As revealed by Navi, even with the immense resources and information network provided by him by the Juuni Taisen Organizers that gave him detailed background information in all the personal histories of the Warriors, Only Usagi possessed no background info no matter how much he searched for his personal history using his given resources.

Usagi immediately kills Snake before any other warriors have even arrived. Later, he raises his hand to join Monkey’s peace alliance, only to stay behind in the building as the floor collapses beneath the warriors. Using the revived body of Snake, he kills Boar and turns her into one of his zombies. He sends the zombified Boar off to survey an area, but she is completely torn apart by Chicken’s swarm of birds. Later, after Chicken’s death, Usagi forces Monkey and Rat out of the sewer by using his own swarm of dead birds. He sends Snake off to separate Rat from Monkey and kill him, while Usagi fights and eventually kills Monkey by using Snake’s severed head to see behind him. He uses the zombie Monkey to retrieve Horse’s dead body from a burning building, and takes his gem. He later uses Snake’s body to get in a conflict with Tiger and Ox to distract them of him going after Dragon. Right before he gets to Dragon he has Monkey throw Snake’s head up towards Dragon distracting him, than right after Monkey launches Rabbit in the air. While Dragon is holding the head Rabbit cuts him in half commanding him to go help his little brother taking out Ox and Tiger. Rabbit hides somewhere while Ox and Tiger take out the twins killing them for good. He reappears in front of Ox and Tiger saying nothing but ready for a fight. He charges at them and right before Ox and Tiger attack, Usagi bites through his tongue, committing suicide. After Ox and Tiger attack, Usagi’s body is then split into multiple pieces. Because he killed himself, Usagi’s necromancy works onto his own body and allows him to move and attack with his dismembered body parts, creating more mayhem for Ox and Tiger.
Skills & Abilities
Achieving first blood in the 12th Zodiac War proves his strong capabilities. His agility allows him to move around the battlefield quickly, it is shown that he delivered a strike to Inounoshishi with a lightning speed while his puppet hold her in place. His necromancy is well cooperate with his swift combat style, making him a dangerous opponent.
However, it’s important to note that while he is dangerous his overall individual combat skills are lacking as every victory he achieved was through the use of his puppets. Both Ox and Tiger were easily able to cut him to pieces when fighting him directly and had Sharyu not been holding back it’s very likely she would’ve defeated him.
In fact, as noted by Sharyu, Usagi’s overall physical abilities and his sword skills was severely lacking. With her stating that his skills set from the way he moved his body and swung his blades, there were still too many holes in his fighting style and he still had plenty of things to learn as a swordsman.
However, despite these weaknesses, Usagi was shown to make up for them using his cunning and analytical intelligence. This is seen where he largely dominated the Juuni Taisen by coming up with various sneak attack strategies by analyzing all of the other participants and figuring out their weaknesses to take advantage of them during his attacks. As seen during his fight against Inounoshishi, Sharyu, Uuma, Tora and Ushii, where he prepared traps in advance or took advantage of their weaknesses. As noted by Sharyu and Ushii, Usagi possess a very cold blooded and highly rational sense of strategy, completely disregarding all morals and emotions of both himself and his targets in order to come up wit the most efficient method to kill them.

Nezumi ・ Sumino Tsugiyoshi
Nezumi 「寝住」 is one of the 12 Zodiacs of the anime series. He is the Zodiac of the Rat. His real name is Tsugiyoshi Sumino.

Appearance
Nezumi wears a blue combat uniform made to look a rat. He has a white facial mask with rodent ears and carries a sword.
Personality
Nezumi is a teenager who acts more mature than his peers. He is rather pragmatic when he comes to certain situations like the Juuni Taisen and is curious about Misaki (Sharyu)’s mindset and views about pacifism.
Due to the nature of his ability, Nezumi sleeps a lot and often appears carefree.
However, he once confessed to Misaki that he often wonders if his efforts in fighting are worth it, as the young warrior often feels sick whenever he thinks about how carefree and unaware the high school students at his school are of the real conflicts in the world.
Background
Nezumi is one of the warriors chosen for the Juuni Taisen.
In his private life, Nezumi attends a regular Japanese high school.
He is first seen sleeping while the rest of the Juuni Taisen warriors arrive. After a while, he joins Sharyu, the Warrior of the Monkey, in alliance to peacefully end the Juuni Taisen but is soon interrupted when the battle begins.
In the end, Nezumi becomes the victor and wishes to forget everything that happened. He is last seen sleeping in class, content.
Juni Taisen vs Juuni Taisen Novel
In the Novel, Nezumi was killed before the battle even started by Aries. Aries then used his body to sneak into the Eastern zodiacs meeting place where she then used Nezumi’s wakizashi to slice off Ox’s head, killing the Ox.

The Hundred Paths of Nezumi-san: This ability allows Nezumi to tamper with the realm of probability. He can carry out a hundred different choices at once, then select which becomes a reality. For example, if he were playing Rock-Paper-Scissors, he could throw a rock, paper, and scissors at the same time. Should he settle on a rock, then reality acts as if he never chose paper or scissors. If time is like a flowchart, he can test out one hundred of its forked paths, then select whichever route he likes the best.
